Are you a backyard bird watcher, budding ornithologist or just curious to learn more about our feathered friends?

Join WBU Naturalist and fellow bird enthusiasts at the beautiful Kalmia Gardens! Our morning hike will be led by the Assistant Director of the gardens, Danny Hill.

Open to all ages and levels of birders. Bring your own binoculars and/or camera if you have them. If needed, one pair of binoculars will be available for rent for $10.00. A limited number of field guides will be available to use during the walk. So, if you have your own please bring it along. Dress appropriately and don’t forget your bottle of water and a bagged lunch if you would like to eat on-site.

The group will meet first at Wild Birds Unlimited to load van and carpool to Hartsville.  If preferred, you may meet us at Kalmia Gardens around 9AM. 

Be prepared to take a leisurely, hour long walk along the trails of Kalmia Gardens. To inquire about the event, please call us at (843) 799-2017. Participants will be notified beforehand, in the case of inclement weather.
